Chakra mapping explained

Short answer: Chakra Mapping is Innsaeiland's own framework that uses the 7 chakra colors to show which chakra needs attention right now — an inner map of your emotional health. What sets it apart from traditional chakra teaching is that it does not stop at theory: it is a practical, personal tool for seeing where you hold tension or emotion, and what wants care. And you do not need to "believe" in chakras — here they work as a map, not as a belief.

Most of us sense that something is out of balance long before we can put words to it. We feel unsafe, unfocused, silenced or disconnected — but do not know where to start. Chakra Mapping gives that feeling a map.

Chakras as a map, not a belief

In Innsaeiland's work, chakras are a way to name patterns. Each of the seven corresponds to a theme we all recognise: safety and roots, creativity and feeling, will and direction, love and openness, voice and truth, clarity and intuition, meaning and wholeness.

You can see it as energy. You can see it as psychology. You can see it as pure physiology — where the body holds and releases. Whichever lens you use, the map works, because all it does is help you point to where something wants attention.

How Innsaeiland's version differs

Traditional chakra teaching describes seven energy centres and often leaves it there. Chakra Mapping takes it a step further:

  • Color as a tool. The 7 colors become a simple, visual way to identify which chakra is calling for attention.
  • Personal, not general. Instead of a generic description, your system is mapped, where you are right now.
  • A map to act on. The mapping does not just point out a theme — it opens concrete ways to come back into balance, through movement, touch, reflection and presence.

Why a map helps

When we can name something, it loses its diffuse weight. "I feel bad" becomes "my roots feel blocked" — and suddenly there is a direction. That was exactly the discovery that once became the beginning of Innsaeiland: a simple sentence, your roots are blocked, that opened a whole new world within.

Chakra Mapping is not a diagnosis. It is an invitation to become curious about where you are — and a direction back toward balance.

Where to start

Chakra Mapping is one of the gentlest entry points to the Innsaeiland method, especially if you are completely new. It gives you a map, and from there Tania guides you on to what suits you best.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to believe in chakras to benefit from chakra mapping?

No. Chakras are used as a map — a way to understand and name different energy and emotional patterns in the body. Whether you see it as energy, psychology or pure physiology, the method works for you.

How is this different from traditional chakra teaching?

Traditional chakra teaching describes seven energy centres. Innsaeiland's Chakra Mapping takes it a step further and uses the 7 colors as a practical, personal tool — a map of where you hold tension or emotion right now, and what wants attention.

What does a chakra mapping involve?

Chakra Mapping is a reading of your energy system over the course of a month, with a personal 1:1 session. Together you read which chakra is calling for attention and what you can do to come back into balance.
